Australian Hypnotherapists Association

Comprehensive and eye-opening; this is not to be missed!!

Tim Falkiner, transpersonal counsellor/hypnotherapist explains the nature of gambling, action and escape gambling, pokies as hypnotic devices, including the influence of archetypal symbolism on the pokies. Tim has had extensive experience working in related professional capacities in this area.

Tim has practised as a solicitor, a barrister, a town planner and a casino regulation officer. He now practises as a transpersonal counsellor and hypnotherapist, and has extensive experience working with problem pokies gamblers.

Tim has long been concerned about problem gambling and the operation and effect on people of the pokies machines. He has also expressed concern on the effects of the symbolism of the illustrations on the machines on children.

He is a keen advocate for change and education in this area, and has presented papers which include the effects and design of gaming machines nationally and internationally.
