Wynn Resorts Announce Further Market Access With Ohio Entry

Wynn Resorts has announced that a further market access agreement, this time involving The Buckeye State, has been secured by its WynnBet online casino and sports betting app.

Growing list of jurisdictions

The area markets the eighth state that will be added to the growing list of jurisdictions where WynnBet expects to begin, subject to license eligibility and availability, legalisation, and regulatory approvals.

The app is currently available in New Jersey and Colorado, with its virtual doors also opening on Friday January 22nd in Michigan as its igaming and online sports betting market is introduced by the Wolverine State.

In addition, in Indiana, Iowa, Massachusetts, Nevada, and now Ohio, WynnBet also secured market access collaborations; and in Tennessee and Virginia, it submitted for licensing.

Update on plan

The company is issuing an update on its US plan, said: “To meet the demands of the quickly moving online sports betting and igaming industry, WynnBet is fast-tracking discussions regarding market access in more than a dozen other large jurisdictions to be announced.

“Such market access and licensure are subject to legalisation and required approvals by regulatory authorities in each jurisdiction.”

The business promises “a broad selection of professional sports and high-end casino games that users can quickly and easily toggle between,” with respect to the group’s imminent debut in Michigan, which will come when the area begins with online gaming and sports betting from noon local time.

In Michigan, WynnBet acquired market access via a multi-year agreement with GAN and Sault Ste. Chippewa Indians’ Marie Tribe, with the collaboration being one of nine approved for launch to go live on the market.

Other Ohio offerings

In addition to the above-mentioned partnership, Bay Mills Indian Community/DraftKings; Grand Traverse Band of Ottawa and Chippewa Indians/William Hill; Greektown Casino Hotel/Barstool Sportsbook; Hannahville Indian Community/TwinSpires; Keweenaw Bay Indian Community/Golden Nugget Online Gaming; Little River Band of Ottawa Indians/Rush Street Sportsbook are allowed to begin offering one of both activities.
